Whilst imbpc computer services will take every reasonable care to carry out the work exactly as the customer has requested, it is unfortunately the nature of computing that things will not always go exactly as planned and unexpected complications are not uncommon.
Because of this, it may sometimes be necessary to restore or reset the computer to its previous state or even to its original factory state, for example by repairing or reinstalling the operating system -- even though this may not have been envisaged at the outset of the work.
In doing so, it is possible that loss or damage to the customer's existing data and/or applications may occur. To provide for this eventuality, prior to starting work on the computer system, it is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that:-
they have a full licensed copy of the installed operating system (for example, Windows 7) available on CD along with a valid license key so that the operating system can be restored or repaired if necessitated by the work.
all critical data and applications have been backed up, and that these can be recovered by the customer once the work has been completed. Imbpc computer services cannot accept liability for any loss of data and/or applications during any repair, upgrade or diagnosis work.
During the course of the work imbpc computer services may need access systems or user-ids which are password-protected. If the customer discloses these passwords to imbpc computer services then it is the customer's responsibility to ensure that such user-ids and/or passwords are changed once the work has been completed. we cannot accept liability for any subsequent loss of data and/or information arising from the potential disclosure of these user-ids and/or passwords.imbpc computer services has no liability for loss or damage to hardware, software applications or data while performing service.
